Her first release, Plugged In With A Street King, was released on January 25th, 2021, and she has been dropping books ever since.

Shari has had a passion of writing since seven years old but never in her wildest dreams did she think she would become a published author. Writing is her first love and always will be. She is currently in school to finish up her bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice with hopes to work at a juvenile detention center. .

Is there anything that makes Lovin’ A Cold Blooded Savage special to you?

It was special to tell Kaylese’s story because it was kind of like telling my story in a way. Kaylese started off very guarded due to past trauma just like me, so watching her let her guard down naturally was beautiful to me!

How long did it take you to write Lovin’ A Cold Blooded Savage?

I think it took me about three weeks from start to finish, but the idea came to me a month before I started writing.

What do you hope readers take away from this story?

That love truly conquers all. The right type of love can come in and heal you in all the right ways.

What was the most challenging part of writing this book?

Honestly, the toughest part was trying to determine if I was going to make any of The Siren Sprinters be fake friends to Kaylese. Initially I wanted one of them to be then decided against it. A strong female friend group was exactly what Kaylese needed.

What kind of research did you do for this book, if any?

I didn’t have to do any research luckily because the book is based on where I’m from.

Are there any real-life experiences or people that inspired your characters or plot?

I always try to put a bit of myself in my characters, so my past inspired the reason behind Kaylese being so defensive and guarded.

What’s the most surprising thing you have learned about yourself while writing books?

That I’m actually a lover girl at heart, lol.

If you could tell the readers anything about you, what would it be?

One thing I’d tell readers about me is that I truly love the craft of writing and have so much fun doing it. Sometimes, It can be seen as a career, right, and it becomes about how quick you can produce which can be draining. For me, I’m really in love with the craft of writing, so no matter how quick I’m producing, I don’t get drained with it.

What authors or books have influenced your writing the most?

I don’t know if there’s authors or book that influence my writing. I can literally hear a conversation in a store and create an entire storyline from a stranger’s business. I will say The Coldest Winter Ever is what made me know it was possible for black authors to become household names.

What’s one book or genre you’d love to explore that’s outside your usual comfort zone?

A genre that I will likely start exploring soon is Christian fiction! As I evolve as a person, I want my stories to continue to look like my real life in some aspect, so, God willing, I will cross over into that genre.

How do you unwind when you’re not writing?

That’s a hard question because writing is how I unwind, but if I’m not doing that, then I’m binging some show. Recently, I’ve started binging The Resident, so I find myself either writing or watching that.
